About The Position

Summary: The Sr. Manager, Master Data Management is responsible for leading and managing enterprise master data strategies, governance, and operations to ensure high-quality, consistent, and reliable data across systems. This role oversees the creation, maintenance, and governance of key master data domains (e.g., vendor, product, material) and partners with business and IT stakeholders to align data standards, improve data quality, and support data-driven decision-making. Essential Functions · Develop and implement enterprise-wide master data management (MDM) strategies, policies, and best practices as it relates to item and vendor data. 5% · Lead the day-to-day operations of the MDM team, overseeing data creation, updates, deletions, and maintenance processes across master data domains. 35% · Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement) to define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and governance frameworks. 10% · Monitor and improve data quality, completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across systems.13% · Oversee the implementation and integration of MDM tools and platforms, ensuring data is synchronized across enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, PLM). 10% · Manage data quality metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to track performance and support continuous improvement. 5% · Drive initiatives for data cleansing, enrichment, and de-duplication to support organizational needs and compliance requirements. 5% · Lead or support enterprise projects requiring master data inputs, including system migrations, new product introductions, and digital transformation efforts. 5% · Train and mentor staff on MDM processes, tools, and data governance principles. 5% · Direct employee tasks & provide direction as needed; follow up to ensure task completion 5% · Evaluate team member performance and provide training and coaching as needed 2%

Requirements

  • Deep Understanding of MDM concepts, data governance frameworks, and data lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with MDM tools (e.g., JD Edwards, BSI, Excel) and enterprise data systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in master data management, data governance, or enterprise data systems.
  • A combination of education and equivalent experience may satisfy the required qualifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, including 2+ years in leadership or supervisory role in MDM.
  • Experience with MDM in complex enterprise environments and across multiple data domains (e.g., customer, product, vendor, material).
