About The Position

Senior Manager, Marketplace Strategic Initiatives - Resold, Product Strategy Position Summary The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer only top-quality, authentic products and best-in-class customer service. The Senior Manager, Product Strategy – Resold will be responsible for defining, executing, and continuously optimizing the product roadmap that powers the growth of the Resold business across Pre-Owned and Restored items. This role is 100% focused on product strategy, roadmap impact, and measurable business outcomes. You will translate the Resold vision into scalable platform capabilities, develop robust business requirements, and lead cross-functional execution that improves customer trust, seller adoption, operational efficiency, and financial performance. You will operate as the connective tissue between business leadership and technical teams, driving clarity on priorities, tradeoffs, and long-term platform strategy. Requirements

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and 4 years’ experience in Business Management, Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area.
  • Option 2: 6 years’ experience in Business Management, Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area.
  • You are highly technical and comfortable discussing system architecture, catalog dependencies, APIs, and platform constraints with engineering partners.
  • You have experience writing clear, structured BRDs or product requirement documents that translate strategy into executable plans.
  • You understand marketplace mechanics, including search ranking, offer exposure, pricing systems, and seller tooling.
  • You are deeply analytical and fluent in interpreting performance data to diagnose root causes and inform prioritization.
  • You think in systems — not just features — and understand downstream impacts across CX, Ops, and Trust.
  • You are comfortable influencing senior leaders and navigating complex tradeoffs between short-term wins and long-term platform scalability.
  • You are forward-thinking about the resale industry and passionate about building trusted, differentiated commerce experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Resold product roadmap, defining and prioritizing features that drive GMV, traffic, conversion, SKU growth, and seller health.
  • Build detailed business requirement documents (BRDs) and strategic proposals for platform enhancements across item setup, unified item page, trust & guardrails, dynamic pricing, returns optimization, and catalog governance.
  • Monitor product performance and business impact, establishing clear success metrics and regularly evaluating feature-level outcomes against financial and operational targets.
  • Develop structured post-launch analyses to assess adoption, conversion lift, assortment expansion, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Identify structural friction in seller onboarding, catalog workflows, and customer experience — and design scalable product solutions.
  • Lead leadership-level discussions to drive alignment on roadmap tradeoffs, technical dependencies, and investment prioritization.
  • Influence platform and engineering teams to secure prioritization for Resold initiatives within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Translate complex technical constraints into clear business implications, ensuring leadership understands risk, ROI, and sequencing decisions.
  • Driving Roadmap & Feature Strategy Developing and executing a product strategy that strengthens Resold’s competitive positioning and accelerates Marketplace growth through scalable, high-impact platform capabilities.
  • Monitoring & Optimizing Product Performance Establishing KPI frameworks and rigorously evaluating feature impact on GMV, traffic, conversion, SKU growth, and operational metrics — ensuring continuous optimization.
  • Enabling Scalable Growth Designing solutions that reduce onboarding friction, strengthen catalog integrity, and improve customer trust while supporting rapid assortment expansion.
  • Influencing Strategic Investment Decisions Leading executive-level conversations around prioritization, technical tradeoffs, sequencing, and long-term platform evolution.
