About The Position

This person serves as a leader for key professional education activities for the PDT Franchise which includes Alpha-1, Neuromuscular and Primary Immunodeficiency. The scope of these responsibilities ranges from leading US congress strategy to align to strategic brand plans and initiatives, to being responsible for the development, implementation and management of new live/hybrid and virtual congress processes, to leading tactical execution for various types of professional education activities within PDT. The role requires an individual that can lead through others and without authority, build relationships both in one's span of control and through many disciplines, both internally and externally. Cross-functional partnership will include but is not limited to sales, marketing, competitive intelligence, compliance, medical, legal, regulatory, and professional organizations. Strategic thinking and creative problem solving are essential for this person to be able to work both inside and outside the organization and to effectively be able to show results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Generally, has 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related industry.
  • 3 or more years of experience in marketing preferred.
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Good communication skills required.
  • Must be able to understand compliance requirements, identify risks and institute process safeguards in place to preempt them.
  • Able to take decisive and swift action per compliance guidelines as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a cross-functional long-term year-over-year congress strategy for Takeda in PDT including national congresses and the identification of key Regional Congresses that marketing should lead as well as overall investment for sales presence at Regional Congresses to complement Marketing presence.
  • Create regional congress strategy and process across Marketing and Sales - providing strategic and process direction to RBDs to implement across their regions.
  • Lead association relationship management and communication oversight across all congresses to ensure relationship continuity and consistent communication from Takeda.
  • Responsible for oversight of all regional congresses and investment tracking and analysis across all marketing and sales congresses (approx. 60+ congresses annually).
  • Partner with commercial and medical to develop long-term global and US congress strategy.
  • Responsible for engaging OCE lead to ensure omnichannel approach/pull through across congress channel at national and regional level.
  • Partner with HCP Marketing leads and sales on internal communication planning across sales force.
  • Lead creation of learning plan to inform upcoming regional congress presence and investment planning.
  • Lead strategy to inform live, virtual, or hybrid engagement mix across congress channel.
  • Responsible for ensuring strategic content approach at regional product theatres based on congress and franchise objectives.
  • Lead the execution of all PDT national and prioritized regional congresses with other US business units as appropriate.
  • Responsible for agency management and budget tracking for team spend and must be at +/- 5% of commitment on a quarterly basis (or cadence determined by finance).
  • Help drive with PDT speaker program execution as needed.
  • Ensure that all compliance guidelines are instituted on each material developed and the appropriate process is followed without exception as noted in Takeda's Code of Ethics.
