About The Position

The Senior Manager, Market Intelligence, is a member of the Global Commercial Strategy & Planning team. The Senior Manager’s primary responsibilities include development and direction of a robust and integrated Market Intelligence Program to support Seqirus long term growth strategy, and support for other high-visibility, strategic projects within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Life Science, Business/Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 5+ years working experience in the pharmaceutical, devices, or other health care industry
  • Experience in strategy and/or commercial roles in the pharmaceutical, devices, or other healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated analytics and effective project management skills
  • Experience with platforms related to healthcare data and information management (IMS/IQVIA, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrated self-starter with experience working in multi-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Strategic planning experience is a plus
  • Vaccines experience a plus
  • Competitive Intelligence experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Competitive Intelligence Under general direction, lead the Competitive Intelligence Program
  • Gather, analyze, and distribute competitive intelligence on CSL Seqirus existing and new products/franchises within therapeutic areas, market conditions, competitors and customers for business decision-making
  • Lead CI activities at scientific congresses, ensuring cross-functional participation in defining key business questions and generating insights
  • Responsible for working with CSL Seqirus brand marketing teams to proactively recommend, develop and implement competitive intelligence that provide relevant, timely and actionable information
  • Identify new competitive intelligence gaps and address with conference coverage or special projects
  • Lead detailed analysis and insights in a manner that is easily interpreted and aids strategic and tactical decision making for BUs and senior management; deliver oral and written communications, develop and make presentations to commercial management, R&D, Finance, and other internal groups, as needed
  • Coordinate across CSL business units to present comprehensive and timely intelligence updates to executive leadership
  • Engage in strategic initiatives to understand competitor behavior, shape commercial strategy, and guide portfolio investment decisions
  • Market Research Work with brand managers to identify market research needs during both the annual planning process and on an ad-hoc basis, helping incorporate this into the CI plans
  • Present detailed quantitative analysis and qualitative insights to brand managers and, in certain cases, senior leadership in a manner that is easily interpreted and aids strategic and tactical decision-making
  • Deliver high quality, timely and actionable analysis that characterize opportunities and risk and translate into clear management recommendations with associated implications for the business
  • Provide brand teams with decision support for campaign/commercial assessments, brand planning, strategic planning, and other planning efforts by providing market insights gained from research
