About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager to lead teams within the Manufacturing and Tooling Engineering departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the teams that own the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and tooling design, fabrication oversight, maintenance, and process application and capabilities. Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Develops or champions new concepts or technologies. Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short- to mid-term function or business area results. Requires broad management and cross-functional leadership knowledge and mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience; or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Deep technical understanding and experience with manufacturing engineering and tooling engineering.
  • Significant experience leading teams of engineers within these disciplines.
  • Experience in leading people leaders, preferably within subject disciplines.
  • Strong cross-functional and collaborative skills.

  • Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams.
  • Mastery within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas.
  • Experience in high-rate manufacturing.
  • Experience in composite manufacturing.
  • Experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing.
  • Tooling design analysis with software such as Ansys.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in MRP or MES systems (preferably Oracle or Delmia).
