About The Position

The Senior Manager of Mainframe Systems Program at Navy Federal Credit Union is responsible for providing leadership and direction to teams involved in technology initiatives related to mainframe systems. The Senior Manager will serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve departmental and corporate goals.

Requirements

• Experience in leading, guiding, and coaching professional staff.
• Knowledge of software development processes.
• Experience in resource allocation and management.
• Experience managing personnel and IT resources.
• Advanced knowledge of Service Life Cycle and Mainframe Systems Programming.
• Advanced knowledge of DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and Configuration as Code.
• Ability to produce desired results and achieve goals effectively.
• Experience collaborating with leadership and executive colleagues on corporate initiatives.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Systematics.
• 4 years of experience managing software development teams.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• PMP, Agile, or DevOps Certifications.
• Advanced knowledge of NFCU operations, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage a wide range of technology initiatives within the mainframe project portfolio.
• Oversee the implementation of IBM and third-party mainframe hardware and software solutions.
• Lead remediation efforts and process improvements related to mainframe systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert on group functions, systems, policies, and procedures.
