About The Position

We are looking for a strategic leader to join our Large Customer Sales (LCS) Retail vertical to accelerate our growth in the Fashion and Sports Apparel category. This unique role focused on leading a team of sellers and establishing Reddit as a must-buy partner within this key market segment. Please note that our preference is for this role to be based out of New York, NY, but we will also consider candidates based in Chicago, IL.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in digital media sales and/or marketing.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales management experience, with strong preference for experience managing teams focused on Fashion and Sports Apparel brands.
  • Deep industry expertise in Fashion/Apparel, coupled with strong relationships with exec-level client stakeholders.
  • Proven experience building a subvertical from the ground up, including GTM strategy development and direct advertiser sales (negotiations, strategic partnerships, and JBP development).
  • Deep experience and understanding of customer measurement requirements across both brand and direct-response marketing objectives.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Willingness to be a player/coach who is scrappy and hands-on

Responsibilities

  • Team Building & Management: Recruit, retain, and manage a team of Client Partners and Account Managers efficiently to exceed established revenue targets.
  • GTM Strategy & Execution: Define and execute the entire Go-to-Market strategy required to scale Reddit's market position in this nascent vertical, acting as a thought leader for the greater Retail team.
  • Industry Relationships: Bring your deep industry ties to drive account growth by advising clients on their business, measurement, and performance goals, and upleveling Reddit's partnerships via C-level stakeholder access.
  • Thought Leadership: Partner with Marketing to translate client needs into our pitch narrative. Build and execute in-person client events for the vertical to drive strategic relationship growth.
  • Inform Reddit's Product Roadmap: Advise Product Management on market opportunities and partner with Sales Ops and Finance to ensure the team's operating targets are aligned with the strategic plan.
