About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Joint Programs is seeking a Senior Manager - Joint Programs Administration to join our team in Seattle, Washington. Established in 1989 IAM/Boeing Joint Programs is a labor/management partnership where our leadership, our staff and our services reflect a balanced relationship between the International Association of Machinist (IAM) Union and the Boeing Company. Together we are dedicated to improving the health, safety and educational opportunities for IAM-represented employees in the Puget Sound and Portland. This position, in partnership with the Union Co-Director, will lead a large team with a broad work statement across the Puget Sound and Portland. The ideal candidate will be someone who can collaborate with their union partner to perform their statement of work, effectively partner across teams, levels, functions, and organizations to drive improvements, consistency, and a strong culture of respect. They will champion the organization's partnership, priorities, mission, and vision, recognize its history, and strive to transform its future. This individual will be a proactive, engaged self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • 3+ years of experience creating and developing strategy plans and/or executing strategies and managing projects
  • 1+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • Participation in IAM/Boeing Joint Programs activities

Responsibilities

  • Partners with IAM (Districts 751 & W24) in leading Joint Programs’ day to day operations
  • Drives contractual budget into projects and initiatives meeting bargaining agreement commitments for productivity training, safety and health, vocational rehabilitation and career development
  • Develops and implements plans that improve the long-term viability of Joint Programs and meets the mutual objectives of the collective bargaining agreement ensuring appropriate funding and resources
  • Shapes the culture of the organization, engaging with the team at all levels to enhance communication, motivate, and mentor team members
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
