As the Senior Manager of Information Technology (IT), you will be responsible for driving the global strategy, governance, and execution of reliability engineering across GXO’s technology ecosystem. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years in IT operations, SRE, application development, reliability engineering, or service management.
  • Proven experience leading major incident response in a complex, enterprise-scale environment.
  • Strong background in SRE practices, automation development (Python, JAVA, or similar), and observability tooling.

Nice To Haves

  • 15+ years with at least 7+ years in global leadership roles leading large scale technology operations.
  • Executive level communication and decision making under pressure.
  • Expert level understanding of global reliability engineering, cloud resilience, observability, and enterprise architecture.
  • Proven ability to build global reliability strategies and lead transformative initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload; able to allocate time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently within established time frame

Responsibilities

  • Set the global reliability vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap aligned with enterprise objectives and digital transformation priorities.
  • Lead strategic investment recommendations (tools, platforms, capabilities) to strengthen global IT resilience.
  • Serve as the executive‑level leader for the most critical, high‑visibility global incidents, providing authoritative direction and rapid decision‑making.
  • Oversee design of observability standards, metrics, and telemetry strategies that deliver real‑time visibility across all technology domains.
  • Champion adoption of AI/ML‑driven predictive alerting, automated remediation, and self‑healing infrastructure.
  • Lead distributed global teams with responsibility for SRE, major incident management, reliability engineering, and operations excellence.
