About The Position

The Senior Manager, IT Procurement is responsible for leading enterprise-wide strategic sourcing, vendor management, and vendor governance activities across Acosta. This role manages complex, high-value IT supplier relationships, negotiations, and contracts across software, SaaS, hardware, telecommunications, and IT services. The role is accountable for delivering cost reduction, cost avoidance, and value creation initiatives, while ensuring supplier performance, compliance, and alignment to business strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) required; MBA or Graduate Degree preferred
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management within complex, enterprise environments.
  • 5 or more years of people leadership experience, leading procurement or sourcing professionals in fast‑paced, evolving organizations.
  • Proven success leading and executing large‑scale enterprise software negotiations, including contracts with Total Contract Values exceeding $10M.
  • Experience operating in global or multi‑region procurement environments, supporting stakeholders across North America and Europe.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic IT sourcing, supplier management, and complex contract negotiations, particularly within enterprise software and SaaS.
  • A hands‑on, execution‑oriented leadership style, with the ability to drive outcomes while guiding and developing a distributed team.
  • Strong change leadership capabilities, with experience rebuilding, maturing, or scaling procurement functions.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills, with comfort influencing senior IT, Finance, Legal, and Security leaders.
  • Deep understanding of IT markets, SaaS licensing models, AI‑related contract terms, and vendor economics, with the ability to apply that knowledge pragmatically.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, including cost modeling, benchmarking, savings validation, and value realization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, executive‑ready insights.
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt, and execute effectively in a high‑volume, fast-moving environment with shifting business needs.

  • Professional procurement certifications such as SPSM, Certified Sourcing Professional, Supplier Management Professional, Procurement Management, or Outsourcing Professional are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute enterprise‑wide IT sourcing strategy across major technology categories, balancing strategic direction with hands‑on delivery.
  • Personally lead and drive complex, high‑value negotiations and renewals, including enterprise software and SaaS agreements exceeding $10M in Total Contract Value.
  • Own and manage strategic vendor relationships, ensuring strong governance, performance accountability, and alignment to business objectives.
  • Direct end‑to-end RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes for major IT and Software Engineering initiatives.
  • Develop and execute cost reduction, cost avoidance, and value‑creation strategies, including pricing optimization, rebates, and commercial improvements.
  • Apply a deep understanding of modern procurement, contract, and vendor management technologies, including practical use of AI‑enabled tools to enhance sourcing, negotiations, and contract analysis.
  • Oversee supplier performance management, including issue resolution, escalation, and remediation to protect service quality and commercial outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance standards, including purchase order approvals within delegated authority.
  • Lead the development and execution of category sourcing plans, preferred supplier strategies, and supplier development initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in IT procurement best practices, enterprise contract management, and evolving market dynamics.
  • Conduct vendor pricing benchmarks, commercial assessments, and market analysis to inform negotiation strategies and sourcing decisions.
  • Perform detailed contract, service request, and quote reviews, ensuring favorable commercial terms and risk mitigation.
  • Lead formal vendor governance forums, including Monthly Operational Reviews and Quarterly / Semi‑Annual Business Reviews (QBRs/SBRs).
  • Provide functional leadership and best‑practice guidance for the implementation, adoption, and optimization of vendor processes and agreements across the organization.
