Team Overview Our Marketing team leads, develops, and executes PowerSchool’s global marketing initiatives. Responsible for brand, communications, demand-generation, and solution marketing, the team works across all major marketing functions to drive alignment of the organization’s messages across all channels to support business growth and customer success. Responsibilities Our Communications team develops, coordinates, executes, and tracks initiatives that engage our audiences, demonstrate our product and thought leadership, and further brand awareness and affinity. We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Manager of Internal Communications to join our team. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive internal communications strategy that builds and sustains a strong, positive company culture, ensures clear and effective communication across all levels, fosters deep employee engagement, and directly partners with our executive leadership. Your day-to-day job will consist of:

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12+ years of relevant and related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience. Additional experience may be substitute for an advanced Degree.
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into impactful internal communication plans and materials.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the proven ability to influence and partner effectively with C-suite executives and senior leaders.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in building, supporting, and communicating aspects of company culture and employee value proposition.
  • Experience managing modern internal communication platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Slack, internal blogs/intranets, video conferencing tools).

  • Deep understanding of change communications theory and its practical application during business transformations, mergers, or crises.
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered tools for personalization at scale, automation of routine tasks, and data-driven content refinement.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communications Leadership: Develop and implement an internal communications strategy that aligns with the company's vision, values, and business objectives.
  • Company Culture Development: Lead initiatives and communications campaigns designed to strengthen our company culture, reinforce core values, and alignment.
  • Executive Partnership and Messaging: Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, including the CEO, for all internal messaging. This includes drafting, reviewing, and distributing high-impact executive communications (e.g., all-hands meeting content, organizational announcements, strategic updates).
  • Content Creation and Management: Oversee the channel strategy, creation and distribution of high-quality internal content across various channels (intranet, email, town halls, internal social media, etc.), ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand voice.
  • Crisis Communications: Serve as a key member of the crisis management team, developing and executing internal communications to inform, reassure, and maintain trust.
  • Measurement and Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of internal communication channels and initiatives, using data to drive continuous improvement.
