About The Position
The Senior Manager, Internal Communications will play a pivotal role in enhancing visibility and excitement among employees regarding ICF's mission-driven work. This position requires a seasoned professional with over 8 years of communications experience, ideally within large, multi-faceted organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive internal communications strategy that not only improves business performance but also connects employees to the company's purpose, mission, values, and culture. This hybrid role, based in Reston, VA, demands a detail-oriented individual who excels in both analytical and creative communication, capable of adapting messages for various mediums and audiences. In this role, you will lead the internal corporate communications strategy, managing campaigns and activities designed to inspire and engage ICF employees. You will share the corporate vision and growth story, ensuring that employees understand how ICF will continue to evolve. Your responsibilities will include creating and overseeing the development of internal communications content such as presentations, newsletters, and announcements, as well as project managing internal communications campaigns and corporate events to ensure timely and successful completion. You will also be tasked with developing, implementing, and monitoring internal communications processes, leveraging metrics and technology to enhance communication effectiveness. Managing a team of internal communicators, you will ensure that corporate messaging permeates all ICF channels and that key messages are consistently delivered across various platforms. Additionally, you will partner with leadership to craft executive communications and support internal crisis communications, all while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the communications team.
