About The Position

The Senior Manager Integrated Vehicles Business Development at GM Defense is responsible for driving business development efforts related to US military and government opportunities. This role involves identifying and qualifying new business prospects, building and maintaining relationships with military and government stakeholders, and leading integrated vehicle pursuits to align with GM Defense's strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 7+ years of experience in the DoD or other Government agencies.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to motivate diverse groups.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive experience working with US Military executive leaders.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-evolving, high-tech environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Current secret-level security clearance preferred.
  • Experience in formulating Business Development campaigns and developing Capture Plans.
  • Direct experience in capturing prime opportunities in the federal DoD market.
  • Experience in the civilian armored vehicle market and Government programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contract types.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director in developing opportunities for Integrated Vehicles that align with GM Defense's Long Term Plan and Annual Operating Plans.
  • Develop and sustain strong customer relationships with US Military Services and other government agencies.
  • Coordinate meetings with customers and stakeholders to gather market insights on requirements and acquisition strategies.
  • Support international team activities regarding Defense Department processes for Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales.
  • Guide the development of solutions to customer capability requirements in line with GM Defense objectives.
  • Assist in establishing and managing Integrated Vehicles Business Development priorities.
  • Make data-driven decisions as a proactive member of the Integrated Vehicle BD Team.
  • Adapt to shifting customer and business priorities and demands.
  • Assist in managing the Integrated Vehicles Business Development Team budget.
  • Ensure adherence to GM Corporation and GM Defense policies and processes.
  • Lead Capture/Proposal and Gate activities for approved opportunities.
