The Senior Manager, Incentive Compensation & Field Planning for Oncology (Franchise A & E) is responsible for playing a key role in developing and managing a motivational sales incentive program that is aligned to each business's strategic objectives. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of IC ranging from base program design, fairness and equity testing, pay curve evaluation, SPIFF modeling and implementation, as well as field communication, education, and support. Additionally, the Senior Manager occasionally leads analytics and deliverables focused on field deployment initiatives. The Senior Manager partners closely with stakeholders across various functions and reports directly to the Associate Director, Field Planning & Incentive Compensation Team, supporting seamless field execution and continuous improvement.

  • Lead the planning, design, implementation, communication, administration, and validation of comprehensive sales incentive programs, including contests and special incentives.
  • Develop and refine incentive programs based on strategic business objectives and cross-functional input.
  • Collaborate with compensation vendors and internal stakeholders to manage project timelines, validate programs, implement changes, and ensure accurate reporting and effective program execution.
  • Assess special incentive requests for business alignment, feasibility, and resource impact.
  • Communicate franchise-specific program changes to relevant teams and validate ongoing operations, including payouts and eligibility.
  • Stay current on industry compensation trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Guide and support cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment to analyze program performance, enhance existing initiatives, and develop new field sales incentive programs.
  • Proactively analyze incentive compensation outcomes to identify performance improvement opportunities and increase motivational impact.
  • Assess effects of market and franchise-specific trends on incentive programs and field performance.
  • Facilitate sales taskforce meetings and office hours to analyze feedback, discuss programs, and reinforce desired behaviors.
  • Provide leadership with reporting, analysis, and insights to guide business decisions.
  • Develop specifications for sales data and oversee data formatting, processing rules, and delivery timing.
  • Respond to incentive-related inquiries and conduct thorough investigations to resolve issues.
  • Bachelor's degree required (BA/BS) or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of Incentive Compensation design and administration experience.
  • Strong collaboration, influence, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and business acumen, with pharmaceutical data experience.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities, including public speaking.
  • Proven expertise in project management, organization, and training delivery.
  • Creative problem-solver, results-oriented, thrives in matrixed team environments.
