About The Position

Are you a self-motivated, results-driven professional with a passion for quality and operational excellence? We are seeking a highly skilled Beef Quality Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure compliance with Walmart's sub-primal beef specifications at a 3rd party facility. You will be responsible for real-time breaking, cutting, packaging, and labeling of beef sub-primals in the production area, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Strong self-motivation and results-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency with computer programs such as Power BI, Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience in a beef harvest or similar production environment
• Ability to balance quality focus with an understanding of financial and operational impacts
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Food Science, or related field and 3 years' experience in agricultural quality control, agronomy, food retail management, or related area OR 5 years' experience in agricultural quality control, agronomy, food retail management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of Walmart's specifications for all associated beef products
• Effectively communicate and build relationships with cross-functional Walmart teams and 3rd party facility partners
• Identify quality control and yield concerns, and create viable solutions to improve processes and financial outcomes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with Walmart's beef specifications and quality standards
• Understand and monitor yield dashboards, carcass breakdown, packaging costs, downstream impacts, and harvest impact
