The People & Culture (P&C) team at Vantage is a high-performing trusted partner, committed to delivering exceptional employee experience and supporting the development and growth of people globally. This Senior Manager role, which can be fully Remote or based at one of Vantage's US locations (Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA) with a flexible work policy (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible), is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Manager and Workday functional leader. Reporting to the Senior Director, People Operations, this position will support Workday/HRIS strategy, delivery, drive improvements, and partner with stakeholders to enhance the employee experience, including leading a team of project managers and HRIS professionals.

Requirements

  • 5 years overall manager experience with at least 3 years of direct experience in HRIS required.
  • Demonstrated people-management experience, including leading and developing analysts and/or HRIS resources.
  • 5 years of experience in project management required.
  • Experience with Workday HCM is required.
  • Proficiency in Workday Report Writer, Advanced reports, and custom report development.
  • Solid understanding of HR and Finance business processes and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and related data analysis tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, IT, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Exposure across multiple Workday modules is strongly preferred.
  • Deep configuration experience and security configuration is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead optimization projects for the company’s Workday environment, driving improvements in efficiency and effectiveness across P&C processes.
  • Support the Workday/HRIS roadmap and priorities aligned to business needs and People & Culture strategy.
  • Manage enhancements, testing, and releases.
  • Prioritize work and allocate capacity across support and projects; maintain intake, testing, and release practices.
  • Manage and develop team members and/or contract resources (hiring, coaching, performance, and growth).
  • Lead HRIS initiatives, including implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables to execute HRIS initiatives successfully.
  • Apply best practices to improve processes and user experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally on special projects, providing HRIS expertise and support.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment and escalations; communicate risks, trade-offs, and timelines.
  • Lead change activities (communications, deployment, and post-go-live support).
  • Support and maintain Workday modules (HCM, Leave & Absence, Performance, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Scheduling, and Adaptive Planning).
  • Maintain Workday business processes and security configurations.
  • Create and maintain calculated fields, condition rules, and custom reports to meet business requirements.
  • Partner with business users to define reporting needs and deliver insights using Workday reporting tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure smooth operation of Workday systems.
  • Perform regular system audits, data validations, and ensure data integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and workflows through system enhancements and automation.
  • Provide input and recommendations for system configuration tailored to meet business needs.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, ensuring the end users are knowledgeable and comfortable using the system.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HRIS related inquiries and provide ongoing support and guidance to users.
  • Ensure that HRIS and data management practices comply with company policies, legal requirements, and data privacy regulations.
  • Monitor system access and security settings to protect sensitive people data.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
