As a Senior HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting HR initiatives at a large manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant leadership and act as an employee advocate to drive organizational effectiveness, change management, and foster a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in HR management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in union relations and labor law compliance.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust and foster a culture of integrity and transparency.
  • Experience with change management and organizational development.
  • Proficiency in HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership, aligning HR strategies with short and long-term business objectives.
  • Demonstrate expertise in union relations, effectively managing relationships and navigating complex labor dynamics.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and trust, promoting employee engagement and productivity.
  • Administer and support all GE Appliances HR policies and initiatives, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Implement HR strategies and programs that align with organizational goals and business strategy.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to identify talent needs, attract top-tier candidates, and support effective onboarding.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, grievance processes, conflict resolution, and investigations.
  • Support and lead initiatives promoting a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Drive career development and employee engagement initiatives, offering coaching and guidance on training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Compensation team and business leaders on compensation strategy and salary planning, ensuring competitive and fair practices.
  • Lead organizational design, staffing, employee development, and succession planning efforts.
  • Actively coach and develop employees, fostering a continuous improvement mindset focused on idea generation and problem-solving.
  • Drive initiatives to minimize attrition and enhance employee retention.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
