Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? Pratt and Whitney has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, GTF Aftermarket Accounting. The position will be a hybrid position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location. The Geared Turbofan (GTF) Aftermarket Accounting team in the P&W Commercial Finance organization is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis of all aspects of the GTF Aftermarket business. Our team is looking for a strong senior manager to provide leadership within the team to support the very complex GTF Aftermarket business in its forecasted exponential growth over the next several years.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required with at least 10+ years of relevant work experience; OR an Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA.
  • Experience in SAP and OneStream.
  • Revenue recognition accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to communicate to a wide range of audience groups.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise month-end closing, reporting and analysis activities related to the GTF Aftermarket process.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of business process changes on the control environment to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor and review general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accounts are reconciled in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Spearhead process and system improvements and creation of processes needed to support growing volume and new business requirements.
  • Partner with and provide reporting to internal and external customers including Engine Services Finance, FP&A, and program partners on various aspects of the GTF Aftermarket accounting activities.
