About The Position

To seek, secure, and steward grant funds and resources in support of District Foundation strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, in a relevant field such as, nonprofit management, education, business administration/management, or public administration.
  • Five (5) years of experience in grant administration and/or management which includes two (2) years of supervisory and/or managing teams, setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback and coordinating daily workflows.
  • Knowledge of grant administration and management across the full grant lifecycle, including compliance with local, state, federal, and nonprofit funding requirements.
  • Ability to analyze, track, and report grant data using spreadsheets, databases, and related systems to ensure accuracy, accountability, and compliance.
  • Ability to prepare clear, accurate grant proposals, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Strong relationships management skills with potential and existing funders.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and training to individuals and groups related to grant development, administration, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing work demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with budgeting and reporting preferred.
  • Experience providing technical assistance and training to individuals and groups preferred.
  • Experience using CRM and/or grants management software preferred
  • Experience with grant budgeting, financial tracking, and coordination of programmatic and fiscal reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Models the routine, intentional and effective use of technology in daily work, including communications, organization and management tasks.
  • Research and prepare high-quality grant proposals in support of school district initiatives and needs.
  • Coordinate administration of assigned grants, contracts, special projects and contributions from pre-award to post-award, and assure compliance with District Foundation policies and funder guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate grant records, databases, and tracking systems for applications, awards, contracts, and reports.
  • Support the Senior Administrator, Philanthropic Strategy, to establish and maintain partnerships with public and private organizations for grant funding and collaboration opportunities.
  • Manage the competitive Teacher Impact Grant program, including program design, application/review/award processes, technical support and data collection/reporting.
  • Work with the Senior Administrator, Finance, in grant budgeting, compliance, and reporting matters.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support effective grant stewardship and problem-solving.
  • Provide facilitative leadership and technical assistance to schools, learning communities and departments with developing grant proposals.
  • Enhance the District Foundation's image within the school system and the community.
  • Follows the district’s policies and procedures as related to all HRMD guidelines, executive limitations, the district’s instructional initiatives, and the school district’s charter guidelines.
  • Follows the district’s policies and procedures as related to fixed assets.
  • Develop leadership in subordinates.
  • Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology being used by OCPS.
  • With the support of the district, attends training to ensure skill level in various technologies is at the level required to perform in current position.
  • Responsible for maintaining timely and accurate information and accountable for the quality of information maintained by those they supervise.
  • Responsible for self-development and keeping up to date on current research, trends and best practices relevant to the area of responsibility
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
