The Job: As a Senior Manager, Global Trade, you’ll be part of our Ethics & Compliance Global Trade team working as a remote employee. You’ll get to: Support SBD’s Global Trade and Sanctions compliance program, particularly regarding U.S. (the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, the Export Administration Regulations, and the regulations enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control) and EU global trade regulations and sanctions. Lead SBD’s SAP GTS module management, including configuration, day-to-day management, and testing to support global trade and sanctions compliance, particularly regarding screening, licensing, and classification functionalities. Develop and deliver training on the use and management of SAP GTS modules. Monitor regulatory changes related to global trade and sanctions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of export controls, sanctions, and compliance strategies to assist in the programmatic deployment of improved processes and procedures across the company. Support the development and deployment of global trade and sanctions/screening policies and procedures and collaborate cross-functionally within the company to ensure compliance with global trade and sanctions screening policies and procedures. Prepare and present reports to leadership on sanctions screening compliance activities and related system performance. Enable data-driven decisions using data analytics tools and initiatives to provide strategic insights and support proactive risk management. Perform and oversee denied party and sanctions screening escalations for third parties and transactions using SAP GTS and other compliance tools as required. Collaborate with and support the company’s Global Trade Compliance Team to meet day-to-day business needs related to sanctions screening. Support internal and external audits related to global trade compliance and SAP GTS controls. Provide support Global Trade audits and investigations as required. Additional experience in IT or with IT systems and tools is preferred. Proven understanding of global trade and sanctions regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, the Export Administration Regulations, and the regulations enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Experience with ERP trade software, particularly SAP GTS and the ability to translate global trade and sanctions requirements into effective IT solutions and automated controls. Experience in project management, leading cross-functional teams and collaborating on system integrations. Strong ability to review data and business processes to identify and communicate compliance risks and drive data informed decisions. Demonstrated ability to work as a team-player with different stakeholders across a multi-national company.

Requirements

  • BA/BS and a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in global trade compliance and sanctions screening.
  • Proven understanding of global trade and sanctions regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, the Export Administration Regulations, and the regulations enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Experience with ERP trade software, particularly SAP GTS and the ability to translate global trade and sanctions requirements into effective IT solutions and automated controls.
