About The Position

Avery Dennison is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Tax Provision to join our Global Tax Provision team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Tax Provision and External Reporting, this pivotal role leads critical global tax provision workstreams and serves as the primary income tax liaison for Brazil. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our global income tax accounting and reporting processes. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical proficiency, analytical rigor, and effective communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver accurate results in a high-stakes, deadline-driven environment. This position is based in the United States and partners closely with regional tax teams in the Netherlands and Hong Kong.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive tax experience within a publicly traded company and/or a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Demonstrated competency in issue identification and resolution, analytical flux analysis, and the ability to oversee complex ASC 740 workstreams.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to form actionable recommendations based on sophisticated scenario modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA (or equivalent) is required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the presence and clarity required to interact effectively with executives, operations managers, and finance directors across corporate departments.
• A "hands-on" leader who thrives in a collaborative, team-based environment and maintains high attention to detail while managing fast-paced, deadline-oriented workflows.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with OneSource UTP, Hyperion HFM/Smart View, and MS Office is preferred.
• Master’s degree in Tax or Accounting is highly preferred.
• An advocate for change who looks beyond "how things were done in the past." You should possess the ability to identify alternative approaches that streamline processes and reduce complexity.
