Come and play a pivotal role in leading a high-performing team of senior process and packaging engineers to support Ingredion's global manufacturing network. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Process Engineering, you will drive technical excellence, process innovation, and capital project execution to help sites achieve safety, quality, production, and cost goals. By leveraging data, Continuous Improvement methodology, and reliability best practices, you will ensure adherence to global engineering standards while fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence. As a Sr. Manager, Global Process Engineering, Packaging, you will lead and develop a senior team of process and packaging engineers to support global manufacturing sites in achieving safety, quality, production, and cost goals through technical guidance, process improvements, and capital project execution. Drive continuous skill development, ensure adherence to global engineering standards, and promote manufacturing excellence by leveraging data, Continuous Improvement methodology, and reliability best practices.

  • Provide technical support across engineering functions including design, equipment specification, installation, troubleshooting, and optimization to meet project and plant goals.
  • Standardize equipment and systems for capital projects and existing installations, ensuring compliance with safety codes and engineering standards.
  • Lead troubleshooting and optimization efforts for packaging equipment, materials, and systems, introducing advanced techniques to solve complex issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new packaging technologies and processes, driving innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Promote knowledge sharing through technology platforms and collaborative systems to enhance organizational learning and capability.
  • Facilitate the dissemination of new packaging technologies and best practices across the organization, documenting and sharing successful solutions.
  • Drive performance improvements in packaging operations by enhancing KPIs and implementing new techniques to optimize process efficiency.
  • Lead packaging engineering initiatives with expertise in bulk powder and liquid equipment, applying IPS governance, financial modeling, and cost control to optimize performance and meet business goals.
  • Build and manage data pipelines and dashboards to support process improvements, KPI tracking, and strategic decision-making.
  • Champion Best Operating Practices (BOP), critical routines, and EHSSQ improvements through training, technical support, and non-conformity analysis.
  • Foster collaboration across functions and global teams to drive innovation, solve packaging challenges, and communicate capabilities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and coach a high-performing global packaging engineering team, promoting career growth, talent acquisition, and knowledge sharing to influence best practices organization-wide.
  • Hold a degree or advanced degree in engineering, with over 15 years of experience in process and packaging engineering, project execution, and plant manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and guiding packaging equipment and systems for bulk powders and liquids.
  • Skilled in strategic prioritization, stakeholder collaboration, and applying IPS governance to drive operational excellence and standardization.
  • Travel may constitute up to 25% of the time, including consecutive weeks at global facilities.
  • Fluency in English required; working knowledge of a Latin or Asian language is a plus.
