Reporting to the VP, IT Infrastructure & Operations, the Senior Manager, Global IT Infrastructure & Operations will play a pivotal leadership role in delivering a secure, resilient, and cloud-first infrastructure platform that supports manufacturing operations, corporate functions, and more than 20 subsidiary businesses worldwide. This role is responsible for leading global infrastructure engineering and operations teams across cloud (Microsoft Azure), servers, operating systems, networks, collaboration platforms, identity and access management, mobility, and core security services. The position has a clear mandate to grow Watts’ Azure cloud footprint, migrate eligible on-premises workloads to the cloud, and help design and build a global shared services operating model that improves consistency, reliability, and cost efficiency across the enterprise—while respecting the unique needs of manufacturing and regional operations. This role can be remote or hybrid based in Andover, MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience managing global IT infrastructure and operations teams in a complex enterprise environment
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including core services, networking, identity, security, and governance
  • Proven ability to lead infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives
  • Experience operating in hybrid environments that include manufacturing or industrial systems
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing or operating Azure landing zones and enterprise-scale cloud environments
  • Experience supporting multi-subsidiary or shared services operating models
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and modern cloud operating practices
  • ITIL-aligned service management experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead global infrastructure engineering and operations teams responsible for enterprise and hybrid infrastructure services
  • Ensure high availability, performance, security, and recoverability of systems supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate operations
  • Establish standardized platforms, tools, and operational processes across regions and subsidiaries
  • Own and execute Watts’ cloud-first infrastructure strategy, with Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud platform
  • Lead the assessment, prioritization, and migration of on-premises workloads to Azure where systems are not directly tied to real-time manufacturing or plant-floor operations
  • Design, build, and scale secure Azure environments, including landing zones, identity integration, networking, monitoring, and disaster recovery
  • Drive adoption of automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and standardized deployment patterns
  • Maintain and optimize hybrid environments that balance cloud adoption with on-premises systems required for manufacturing and operational technology
  • Ensure seamless integration between cloud and on-prem environments
  • Develop phased roadmaps that reduce technical debt while minimizing business and operational risk
  • Partner with the VP, IT Infrastructure & Operations to design, implement, and mature a global shared services model supporting Watts’ 20+ subsidiaries
  • Define which infrastructure and operational services are delivered centrally versus locally, with clear ownership and escalation models
  • Establish standardized service catalogs, SLAs, operating procedures, and intake processes
  • Support governance, showback/chargeback concepts, and performance transparency
  • Build strong relationships with subsidiary leadership, manufacturing stakeholders, cybersecurity, and application teams
  • Translate business needs into scalable, cost-effective infrastructure solutions
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts, risks, and value to executive and non-technical audiences
  • Establish and report on KPIs including uptime, incident trends, MTTR, change success rates, and service performance
  • Lead major incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
  • Manage infrastructure budgets, forecast spend, and identify cost optimization opportunities
  • Own vendor relationships and ensure performance against SLAs and contractual commitments
