This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) Division in Alameda, CA. We are helping people with diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. As a Commercial Excellence Sr. Manager, you will support the Global Commercial Operations team for Abbott Diabetes Care. The role will be assisting the overall Commercial team via support and execution of the global strategy. Focused is on processes improvement, regional capabilities development, strategic global standardization initiatives and improving/innovating business and sales analytics. This role will also support & collaborate with Demand Planning, Finance and Global Marketing to establish the integration of business intelligence into the sales force effectiveness (SFE) process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or similar.
  • Strong customer centric approach with outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 10 years of work-related experience.
  • Understanding of sales models and sales-cycle Management, Demand Planning and Forecasting methodology as well as Sales Ops Processes Operations and Sales Experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify and concisely communicate the business implications of forecasts and actual results.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and adaptability to different cultures and communication styles as this role interfaces across countries all over the world.
  • Candidate must possess strong sales acumen, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint skills and Power BI and be able to learn new systems quickly.
  • Proven capability in identifying value with new and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with cloud and big data implementation projects on Azure and/or AWS.
  • Supervises, motivates and mentors cross-functional /cross-divisional project team of project managers, data engineers, developers, and SFE analysts.
  • Serve as liaison between various business and IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a comprehensive global gap analysis of SFE capabilities and deficiencies across all regions.
  • Contribute to the design and development of a global standardized framework for SFE processes via collating regional insights and aiding in strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate/Develop on the ideation, project planning, execution and roll-out of tailored dashboards & reports to drive meaningful commercial actions (via Power BI or similar).
  • Drive best-practice adoption and the change management process through regular regional stakeholder engagement, monitoring, and data analysis.
  • Lead root cause analysis for data integrity issues and sources of inefficiencies/time-waste across CRM processes.
  • Organize and manage Libre Data Services (LDS) data advancement schedule and roadmaps.
  • Owner of digital health tool measurement and tracking for advancing patient retention, utilization and sharing with HCPs.
  • Responsible for alignment/standardization of Global Incentive compensation strategy.
  • Define Country/Regional Sales metrics to drive expanded pipeline.
  • Lead Country specific opportunity management with focus on Markets Access and New Channels.
  • Leverage latest technologies like AI for actionable insights.
  • Support the International team with ad hoc process improvement initiatives to drive best practice processes.
  • Responsible for in depth reviews of forecast (LBE) changes and trends, align with regions to identify any risk and opportunities to the latest forecast.
  • Respond to Ad-hoc analysis required to support management in any decision or questions.
  • Collect and validate SFE Dashboard KPI results & root causes for monthly forecast error; support the regions in determining next steps to correct forecast error and improve overall use of KPI’s.
  • Manage Sr. analyst for master data maintenance and set up of new/existing reports and tools in Power BI.
