About The Position

The Senior Manager, GI Rare Analytics at Takeda will play a crucial role within the Gastroenterology Business Unit (GIBU) by evaluating sales, marketing, and managed markets strategies specifically for the Short-bowel Syndrome (SBS) market. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance marketing and sales effectiveness, focusing on analytics and insights that drive decision-making in institutional settings. The role requires a strong analytical background to interpret complex data and provide strategic recommendations to improve business outcomes.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in an analytical field such as statistics, operations research, management science, industrial engineering, economics, or math with 6+ years of quantitative analytical or forecasting experience in pharmaceutical analytics/sales/managed markets; or an advanced degree in an analytical field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Complete understanding and application of quantitative principles and standards surrounding secondary market data sources.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex quantitative data in an understandable format.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in a complex franchise-specific market.
  • Proven experience with global Sales and Marketing organizations and pharmaceutical data sources such as Komodo, IQVIA, SHA, and chart audits.
  • Knowledge of coding techniques in Python, R, SQL, SAS, and advanced Excel/PPT skills.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Qlikview.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with payer data in the retail space and willingness to learn about medical benefit payer landscapes.
  • Familiarity with patient journey, line of therapy, and source of business analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Operate independently and draw substantive conclusions from payer plan data in a medical benefit-based environment.
  • Partner with GI marketing and field sales teams to develop strategies and provide input into key strategic decisions.
  • Deliver answers to key business questions around payer behavior and establish metrics and KPIs for managed markets initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain reporting across institutions, plan level performance, specialty pharmacy channel, and pricing/rebating strategies.
  • Lead key market analytics projects to inform strategic and brand planning, forecasting, and market access projects.
  • Conduct detailed secondary market data analyses and develop a Marketing/Omni-channel Insights reporting environment.
  • Quantify the impact of Marketing and Sales strategies on revenue.
  • Create clear and concise reports with sophisticated data visualizations for cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage appropriate analytical techniques for incoming analytics requests, including advanced statistical analyses and Predictive Models.
  • Ensure data quality and compliance by working closely with data integrity and systems teams.
