The Senior Manager will support the CFO and Controller in managing the Company’s corporate (day to day) accounting and various financial reporting projects, some financial planning and analysis, and ad-hoc financial operations and light treasury. Given the well-established corporate culture, the operational pace, a small team and the nature and variety of the issues and business challenges that arise, the Senior Manager needs to be highly adaptable and flexible. Specifically, the Senior Manager must be able to manage day-to-day operations with attention to detail, think strategically to solve complex problems, and possess deep expertise in relevant subject areas. In other words, the role requires someone who can switch between handling practical tasks, developing big-picture solutions, and providing expert advice as needed. Specific areas of focus will include (1) accounting for complex and technical items such as investments, paid claims, loss reserves, reinsurance recoverable, and expense accruals, (2) forecasting and budgeting, (3) managing banking relationships and cash management.
