About The Position

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented finance professional to support Cristcot in its growth by leading financial operations across the organization, with a focus on managing spend, Statements of Work (SOWs), and key performance indicators (KPIs) across all functional areas. Primary Relationships Within Cristcot, the Senior Manager, Financial Operations & Program Spend will collaborate closely with leaders across the organization. Outside Cristcot, the Senior Manager, Financial Operations & Program Spend will engage with external vendors. Primary Job Responsibilities The Senior Manager, Financial Operations & Program Spend will play a critical role in ensuring financial discipline, visibility, and accountability across clinical, research, G&A, and commercial functions. The role requires a hands-on operator who can partner cross-functionally, manage budgets in real time, and bring structure and rigor to financial tracking and vendor spend. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 8-10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or financial operations within biotech, pharma, or life sciences
  • Strong experience managing budgets, forecasts, and vendor spend
  • Experience working with SOWs, contracts, and developing procurement processes
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to Austin, TX every other month

  • CPA, MBA, or equivalent preferred
  • experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and track company-wide spend across all functions, including Commercial, Clinical, R&D, Technical Operations, and G&A
  • Partner with functional leaders to develop, manage, and forecast budgets
  • Monitor actuals vs. plan, identify variances, and provide actionable insights
  • Drive financial discipline and accountability across the organization
  • Lead the financial review and tracking of all Statements of Work (SOWs) and vendor contracts
  • Partner with Legal and functional teams to ensure SOWs are aligned with budgets and timelines
  • Track spend against SOWs and proactively flag risks, overruns, or inefficiencies
  • Support vendor selection and cost negotiations with data-driven insights
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to track financial performance, vendor efficiency, and program-level spend
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time visibility to leadership
  • Deliver regular reporting packages to Finance leadership and executive team
  • Analyze trends and recommend improvements to optimize resource allocation
  • Act as a key finance partner to Commercial, Clinical Operations, Research, CMC, and Corporate functions
  • Translate financial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders
  • Support program teams in understanding financial implications of decisions
  • Support quarterly and annual planning cycles, including budget setting and reforecasting
  • Assist in long-range financial planning and scenario modeling
  • Ensure alignment between operational plans and financial forecasts
  • Implement and improve processes for tracking spend, SOWs, and financial performance
  • Create and optimize use of financial systems, and dashboards
  • Drive standardization and scalability as the company grows
