Job Summary: The Senior Manager, Finance – Cost Reporting is responsible for oversight of the cost reporting process, including, but not limited to data management, coding, encounter reconciliation, financial report reconciliation, and coordination with other finance teams. There is a strong focus on team development, with a specific emphasis on refining coding skills and analysis. Essential Functions: Oversee the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements on a quarterly basis Support senior leadership for all independent financial reporting, internal audits, and other financial related audits Responsible for all Medicaid financial filings Perform ad hoc and trending analysis – both proactively and as requested Responsible for making staffing decisions Conduct performance management activities for direct reports, to include monthly one-on-one meetings, annual performance appraisals, and discipline as appropriate Develop, implement and modify processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness Reconcile cost report with our financial systems and IBNR lags Owns relationship with encounters team and works to reconcile variances between financial systems and encounters Audit current SQL code and create a streamline process in Databricks Perform any other job duties as requested Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent graduate degree is preferred A minimum of seven (7) years of data management or coding is required Four (4) years of management experience is required Managed care or healthcare experience is preferred Competencies, Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in understanding the details of submitted and accepted encounters Familiar with variety of financial analysis concepts, practices and procedures Relies on extensive experienced and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Familiar with variety of accounting concepts, practices and procedures Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Statutory Accounting Principles (STAT) Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office Ability to interact with all levels of management, as well as external stakeholders Ability to lead and direct the work of others including the development, motivation and rewarding of staff Knowledgeable of internal control framework Decision making/problem solving skills Critical listening and thinking skills analytical skills Detail-oriented Licensure and Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) FP&A, or related certification is preferred Working Conditions: General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time May be required to travel occasionally Compensation Range: $113,000.00 - $197,700.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
