The Senior Manager, Field Visual Merchandising is a dynamic, field-embedded leader responsible for driving visual merchandising excellence across VF's retail brands, Vans, The North Face, and Timberland. Leading a team of Field Visual Merchandising Managers, this role ensures the seamless translation of global and regional visual strategies into elevated, consistent in-store experiences that inspire consumers and drive commercial performance. Blending strategic oversight with in-store engagement, this leader serves as the connective tissue between brand vision and field execution. By fostering strong cross-functional partnerships and developing team capability, the Senior Manager ensures that every store reflects its brand's identity, supports business goals, and delivers an exceptional consumer experience. Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. Strategic Leadership & Team Management: Lead, develop, and inspire the Field Visual Merchandising team across all brands, setting clear objectives, coaching for performance, and fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration. Serve as the central leader for the Field VM function, ensuring alignment between global, regional, and field stakeholders across brands. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Heads of Retail, Brand Marketing, and HR to ensure visual merchandising strategies directly support business priorities and reflect brand identity. Act as a thought partner in seasonal planning, campaign development, and retail readiness discussions to ensure field perspectives inform broader strategies. Execution & Operational Excellence: Oversee execution quality and consistency of floorsets, windows, and brand campaigns across all stores. Establish and manage operational standards and processes that ensure timely, brand-right execution and continuous improvement. Monitor execution through audits, reporting, and performance metrics, identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement. Capability Building & Coaching: Design and implement training tools and workshops to enhance field and store team visual merchandising capability. Champion on-the-job coaching, ensuring Field VM Managers are equipped to mentor store leaders and teams effectively. Insights & Continuous Improvement: Capture and synthesize field insights, execution feedback, and consumer observations to inform future strategies and creative direction. Identify opportunities to streamline execution, reduce agency dependency, and strengthen internal capability and efficiency. Share trends, learnings, and visual excellence examples to inspire consistency and innovation across the network. What do you need to succeed? We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8+ years of experience in visual merchandising, retail operations, or brand presentation, especially in multi-brand or multi-store environments.
