About The Position

The Senior Manager of Field Marketing Events is a highly strategic and collaborative role that leads the design, planning, and execution of high-impact events that fuel business growth. This leader partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver experiences that support pipeline generation, deepen customer loyalty, and strengthen alignment across the business. The role blends strategic planning, operational excellence, people leadership, and data-driven decision making to deliver events that reflect Salesforce's brand, values, and commitment to equality.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in event management or communications, including at least 3+ years leading large-scale, complex corporate events.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic programs, manage cross-functional teams, and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with high attention to detail and the ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to executive and corporate voice.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
  • Ability to manage confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 30-50%, depending on event schedule).

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Splash Event Marketing Platform, and Tableau.
  • Background in presentation design, social media, or digital storytelling.
  • Strong copy-editing skills and experience creating audience-centered messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the end-to-end event strategy and roadmap for a defined portfolio, ensuring strong alignment with corporate marketing, sales, and executive priorities.
  • Serve as the primary strategic partner to senior stakeholders, providing clear updates, managing expectations, and facilitating alignment on key decisions.
  • Lead, coach, and support event team members (direct reports and/or cross-functional contributors), fostering growth, accountability, and an inclusive team culture.
  • Oversee all aspects of event execution including venue sourcing, logistics, contracting, creative development, registration, content programming, speaker management, and on-site delivery.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors, agencies, and partners, ensuring quality, fiscal responsibility, and alignment with expectations.
  • Build and scale consistent event processes, best practices, and toolkits to enable high-quality delivery across regions and internal teams.
  • Own and manage comprehensive event budgets including forecasting, expense tracking, and reconciliation to ensure programs meet financial targets.
  • Partner with Field Marketing and Operations to integrate event data into Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.) for registration, engagement tracking, and reporting.
  • Define and measure KPIs that demonstrate event success (ROI, pipeline influence, attendance, satisfaction), providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure all event experiences authentically represent Salesforce's brand, values, and commitment to equality and sustainability.
  • Lead audience acquisition and demand generation strategies for all managed events, collaborating with Sales and Field Marketing to drive qualified registrations.
  • Develop and execute integrated CRM campaigns (email, in-platform messaging, nurtures) that support pre-event engagement and effective post-event follow-up.
  • Leverage Field Marketing experience to align event strategies with regional and territory priorities, optimizing event formats and locations for local impact and partner engagement.
  • Synthesize data quickly to support compelling, audience-relevant storytelling and follow-up.
