About The Position

The Senior Manager, Feasibility & Development Planning supports senior leaders in the department with the preparation of feasibility underwriting efforts, including Consulting Studies, Early Project Assessments, and Business Plans, in the pursuit of Corporate Growth Committee (CGC) approval of new resorts for all VO brands (MVC, SVC, WVC, HRC) in both domestic and international markets for MVW’s Vacation Ownership division. The Senior Manager also supports senior leaders in the department in the pursuit of its disposition strategy of non-core assets in addition to other corporate growth initiatives, including managing due diligence processes and executing closing and post-closing activities. The Senior Manager prepares initial market studies, business assumptions, and economic valuations as part of those efforts. The incumbent is responsible for project managing increasingly more complex parts of the feasibility & planning process as assigned and overseeing activities of other disciplines and external consultants working on projects under the leadership of the SVP of Feasibility and Development Planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years college degree or equivalent experience in Business and Finance.
  • Five (5) years management experience in feasibility, real estate development, or related industry preferred.
  • Vacation Ownership experience desired.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with increased minimum supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a balance of assertive and cooperative characteristics.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA desirable.
  • Advanced ability in computer applications required (Microsoft Office) for the preparation of financial analysis and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and produces reports and analysis related to new resorts, dispositions, and other growth initiatives.
  • Prepares and manages parts of an Early Project Assessment.
  • Prepares and manages parts of the Business Planning process.
  • Provides all business assumptions to support financial analysis.
  • Reviews forecasts of other business partners for reasonableness, benchmarking project assumptions against competitors and other projects, and researches validity of assumptions.
  • Manages external parties engaged for development efforts such as brokers, consultants, and transaction partners.
  • Performs other duties as appropriate.
