About The Position

Provides direct management and supervision of department staff, including area managers and personnel responsible for the care and cleaning of district buildings and assets. Ensures consistent, efficient, and compliant custodial operations across five geographical areas. Supports Senior Leadership in implementing custodial standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures. Collaborates to maintain and update custodial standards, ensures consistent hiring and corrective action processes, and plays a key role in developing the departments supervisor program and delivering professional development for custodial staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or relevant work experience minimum required.
  • Five to seven (7) years of experience progressively responsible positions in public institution, plant management, facility operations, maintenance and housekeeping programs that includes personnel management
  • Two years experience managing major facility management functions
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Supports senior leadership in managing budgets, productivity, and operational efficiency to meet program goals
  • Analyzes operations to identify issues, recommend solutions, establish performance metrics, and track progress toward improvement targets
  • Proactively addresses obstacles to support department objectives
  • Develops, recommends, and administers policies, procedures, and processes to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, safety regulations, and emergency preparedness protocols
  • Oversees the implementation of safety programs and maintains accurate operational records
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors
  • Prioritizes and executes operational projects based on organizational needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
