About The Position

The Sr. Facilities Manager position is responsible for leading, managing, maintaining and overseeing all aspects of facilities site operations at the Andover, MA site. This includes implementation of operation & maintenance, facilities engineering and sustainability initiatives. It also includes engaging with the site Executive LT to execute site level strategies and implement workplace moves and rearrangements. In addition, the Sr. Facilities Mgr. will partner with the Business Relationship Manager (BRM), Workplace Experience (WPE), and Project Delivery (PD) teams within ES Real Estate Solutions to ensure work is completed in a professional, timely and cost-efficient manner. The position is also responsible for ensuring a safe, flexible, efficient, and clean workplace. A critical responsibility of the Sr. Facilities Mgr. is to oversee the execution of day-to-day operations, lead all Union/Facilities relations at the site, and ensure small demand projects are successfully completed to customer satisfaction. This role requires significant interactions with local business leadership, labor relations, and other RTX functional organizations including EHS, Security, Digital Technology, internal customers, suppliers and government compliance officials. The Sr. Facilities Mgr. is responsible for supporting site audits and ensuring compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 8 or more years’ relevant experience
  • In the absence of a degree 14 years of relevant applicable experience may be considered
  • At least 10 years experience managing facilities expense/demand budget, specific to preventative and corrective maintenance to include Managing and accessing the facility infrastructure to ensure its continued functionality
  • Strong prior experience leading, managing, maintaining and overseeing all aspects of facilities site operations, including implementation of operation & maintenance, facilities engineering and sustainability initiatives
  • Experience managing and negotiating between customers and facilities in a fair and effective manner with creative solutions
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1 (DoD Clearance: Secret)

Nice To Haves

  • Construction Supervisor License (CSL)
  • Experience with CMMS operations
  • Strong understanding of Building Automation and sub-Systems, such as Siemens and JCI
  • Project management and scheduling experience
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Proficient with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Effective fact-based decision making, teaming and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial information and communicate impact to team and customer
  • Understand and maintain compliance with Safety training, laws, codes, and regulations
  • Assess risk and develop mitigation plans while keeping progress moving forward
