About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Equipment & Facilities Maintenance you will oversee multiple distribution warehouse facilities and provide technical and operational leadership to ensure all facility services—including maintenance, life-safety, and engineering—are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Hillman policies and client requirements. You will be responsible for managing budgets, contracts, vendor relationships, and operational excellence initiatives, while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. Requirements

  • Bachelors in related field or Engineering or 10 years related experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse automation (AS/RS & AMR) and distribution systems.
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Electrical Systems
  • Electrical/Mechanical Safe Work Practices (including stored energy, electrical safety including Arc Flash, LTT/LOTO)
  • Controls Hardware and Software
  • Experience with WMS, WES, and automation software platforms.
  • Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Advanced Problem-Solving skills
  • Project Management
  • Some travel required, Remote Management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple distribution facilities, ensuring life-safety, engineering, and general maintenance services are delivered effectively.
  • Lead and support a team of Facilities Technicians, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development.
  • Manage service contracts, including RFPs, financial reviews, audits, and ensuring invoices match contract terms.
  • Manage annual operating budgets, capital improvement plans.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and best practice implementation.
  • Monitor and analyze work order metrics to identify trends, improve performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships through responsive communication and a customer-first mindset.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and contractual obligations across all facilities.
  • Proficiency with CMMS or work order Management Systems
  • Maintain Network Strategy for Building and Equipment PM’s
  • MRO-Maintenance, Repair, Operations tools, supplies, production equipment and facilities
  • Mentor and Development of Automation Technicians
