This role develops and advances Otis’s global environmental and sustainability programs, leading initiatives in climate, energy, waste, water, and circularity while overseeing and/or supporting core reporting obligations including CDP and CSRD. It requires a blend of strategic leadership and technical skill to manage enterprise‑level data, policies, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. The role partners closely with global teams to drive progress, ensure data integrity, and support emerging regulatory and customer requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or relevant STEM discipline required.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in environmental compliance and GHG accounting and reporting.
  • Strong analytical background with demonstrated skill in working with large datasets, identifying trends, developing forecasts, and summarizing findings clearly for a broad range of audiences.
  • Working knowledge of sustainability programs specific to energy, environment, and emissions (e.g., GRI, The GHG Protocol, SDGs)
  • Experience with waste reduction and Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) programs.
  • Experience with external reporting framework – such as CDP and EcoVadis
  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to work across global time zones to support global operations, teams, and stakeholders, as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree engineering, science, or relevant STEM discipline.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau), circular economy strategies, renewable energy procurement, and sustainability data management systems.
  • Multiple language skills
  • Background working in manufacturing, technology, or other highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

  • Support environmental compliance programs and oversee development and implementation of corporate global environmental policies.
  • Develop and improve corporate global sustainability strategies and policies.
  • Lead and support Otis’s climate, energy, waste, water, and circularity initiatives to improve environmental performance.
  • Lead annual CDP reporting and support other external reporting including but not limited to CSRD, EcoVadis, the corporate annual voluntary report, etc.
  • Analyze and communicate sustainability data, progress, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Track progress against targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support customer, regulatory, and stakeholder environmental and sustainability inquiries.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams globally to integrate sustainability across the business.
  • Oversee environmental metrics, data quality, and reporting.
  • Support factory risk audits.
  • Provide expert support for risk assessments, environmental incident investigations, and environmental due diligence related to site selection.
