What You Will Do You will lead the GLOBALink Security, Networks, and Partner Systems (SNAP) organization responsible for end‑to-end security, networking, and partner system integrations for the GLOBALink high‑availability communication network. GLOBALink includes globally deployed routers, servers, and radios that deliver seamless air‑to‑ground and satellite-based communications for commercial airlines and civil aviation authorities. In this leadership role, you will:

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Minimum 10 years of software development and server security engineering experience
  • Minimum 3 years of people‑leadership experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in networks, aviation communication systems, and high‑availability architectures
  • Demonstrated understanding of security practices and security architecture
  • Experience working with external partners on jointly delivered technical solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Additional leadership experience driving modernization or digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience with global aviation authorities, regulatory requirements, or aerospace communication systems
  • Advanced certifications related to networking or cybersecurity

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high‑performing team responsible for maintaining and upgrading management systems and networks while sustaining 99.999% system availability.
  • Develop team members through mentoring, coaching, and progressive technical and leadership assignments.
  • Execute security and networking modernization programs across GLOBALink.
  • Ensure compliance with RTX security policies and contractual requirements from global Civil Aviation Authorities.
  • Oversee partner‑system connectivity to the high‑availability AGN network, including upgrades and new business opportunities.
  • Deliver assigned portions of the annual Engineering Operating Plan (EOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP) with predictable performance.
