About The Position

Lead a dynamic team of software and DevOps engineers, shaping the future of internal tool development for over 11,000+ global users at Trimble. You will spearhead the creation, automation, and deployment of innovative solutions to significantly enhance engineering productivity across the organization. Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of automation, ensuring top-tier automated support and operational excellence. Act as a crucial bridge between the E-Tools department and other engineering teams, facilitating seamless collaboration and efficiency. Own and contribute to the team’s objectives and key results, KPIs for a truly global, always-on customer base. Be a strong mentor and build engaged teams by coaching and inspiring your software engineers as well as our outsourcing partners. Own KPIs for service stability, performance, and root cause analysis in production. Develop, implement, maintain, and fine-tune monitoring and alerting systems. Ensure compliance by addressing SecOps tools' requirements. Emphasize Site Reliability Engineering as an engineering discipline, driven by automation. Ensure technical and architectural integrity of products. Collaborate across departments to achieve product goals. Utilize creative problem-solving for product design and usability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience working on cloud platforms and SaaS applications.
  • At least 2+ years as an engineering manager.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in lean and agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and mentoring skills.
  • Skilled in team management, including hiring and performance management.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (ideally Python, Typescript or Go).
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (Azure or GCP also considered).
  • Experience with any BI tools.
  • Experience using AI/ML to automate tasks and identify anomalies.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven coding, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Datadog AI).
