About The Position

In this strategic leadership role, you will drive the identification, acquisition, and development of large-scale energy projects that accelerate the deployment of long-duration energy storage solutions. You will operate at the intersection of project development, partnerships, and M&A, shaping a high-impact project pipeline across the U.S. market. Working closely with engineering, finance, legal, and commercial teams, you will bring complex projects from early evaluation through deployment readiness. This role offers significant autonomy, high visibility, and the opportunity to influence clean energy infrastructure at scale. You will collaborate with developers, investors, and industry leaders in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Your work will directly contribute to decarbonizing industrial operations while enabling reliable, low-cost energy solutions nationwide.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, with direct involvement in project acquisition, M&A, or development partnerships
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and acquiring utility-scale renewable or energy storage projects
  • Strong commercial acumen, including project valuation, financial modeling, risk assessment, and deal structuring
  • Experience negotiating MIPAs, asset purchase agreements, development agreements, and related transaction documents
  • Solid understanding of permitting, interconnection, land acquisition, and offtake processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and counterparties simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

  • Experience in energy storage, infrastructure finance, or high-growth environments is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation, acquisition, and development of energy projects, including site visits, technical and commercial due diligence, and data room analysis
  • Develop and apply project scoring frameworks to prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit, economics, development stage, and market access
  • Structure and negotiate project acquisition agreements, development contracts, and partnership arrangements
  • Manage the full development lifecycle of acquired projects, including permitting, interconnection, land rights, and regulatory processes
  • Oversee external consultants, engineers, and legal advisors to ensure timely and high-quality project execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with renewable developers, IPPs, and project owners to source high-quality opportunities
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, legal, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure project feasibility, alignment, and execution
  • Track budgets, schedules, risks, and development milestones while providing regular pipeline updates to leadership
