About The Position

The Role: A Senior Manager – Digital Business Transformation – Supply Chain helps GPSC identify, evaluate, and implement new ideas, applications, or processes. This includes engagement across all GPSC functional areas, and significant cross functional interactions with GM IT. They use data, research, creativity, and analytical skills to find solutions to complex problems and generate value for customers and stakeholders. Lead and support cross-functional, innovation projects to enhance capabilities and efficiencies across GPSC Provide a timely response to leadership requests and gather requirements/data from varied global stakeholders Support informal reporting and data analytics, like key performance metrics and ad hoc requests What You’ll Do (Responsibilities): Identifying Opportunities: Stay abreast of emerging market trends, technological advancements, and industry developments. Identify opportunities for innovation within the organization. Evaluating Ideas: Assess the feasibility, potential risks, and impact of new ideas, analyze data, and evaluate the viability of proposed innovations. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, collaborate to drive innovation initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals. Strategic Thinking: Consider long-term implications and align innovation efforts with overall business strategy. Problem-Solving: Apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving techniques. Explore alternative solutions and recommend the most effective approaches. Implementation: Implement innovations through project management and testing, initiatives. Continuous Learning: Stay curious and continuously learn about new methodologies, tools, and best practices related to innovation. Adapt to changing environments and technologies. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain or Logistics (any internship or co-op experience will not be considered)
  • Experience interacting with business partners and managing expectations
  • Strong strategic agility to connect ideas end-to-end and innovate solutions
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with strong presentation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to influence others in a direct and indirect organizational structure, and across multiple physical locations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple, visual terms suitable to a wide cross-section of audiences (data storytelling)
  • High-level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  • Well-developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Proactively manage and communicate project status, progress on deliverables and risks/issues to stakeholders and leadership
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related advanced degree
  • Knowledge of GPSC business processes and systems, including Supply Chain & Logistics applications
  • SAP including S/4 HANA experience in materials management, supply chain and/or logistics
  • Experience in inventory planning and supplier scheduling systems and processes
  • Knowledge of IT project management and requirements definition
