About The Position

The Radiology Director at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of various imaging sections within the Diagnostic Imaging Department. This role ensures the provision of safe, efficient, and high-quality imaging services while implementing departmental goals and maintaining balanced budgets. The director coordinates daily operations, supervises team goals, and ensures compliance with professional standards in a 24/7 service environment.

Requirements

• Oregon Medical Imaging License from Oregon State Board upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
• 5 years of progressively responsible team leadership and/or supervisory experience in a hospital environment.
• 5 years of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist.
• 2 years of supervisory experience in a Radiology Department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct activities of the Radiology, Mammography, Magnetic Resonance, CT Scanning, Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry, and Nuclear Medicine sections.
• Implement departmental goals and objectives to ensure quality imaging services.
• Develop and assure professional standards within the department.
• Maintain balanced budgets for all department cost centers.
• Coordinate daily operations through interaction with subordinates, physicians, nursing personnel, and medical offices.
• Supervise team goals affecting quality assurance and maintenance of high standards.
• Ensure coordination of examinations with other departments, physician schedules, and equipment availability.
