About The Position

Position Overview: This position manages and leads the development and maintenance effort for major functional platforms within the Software Development group. In addition, this person is expected to provide input into the system design of products. The person in this position will ensure all software engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in software engineering/computer science or equivalent work experience; minimum of 10 years of directly related work experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated working knowledge of software design.
Effective interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Plans, direct, coordinate and administer the development of Software projects from conception through completion.
Develop strategies to maintain coherence between the different designs and products within a product line.
Work with other disciplines to promote effective system design.
Develop and grow an effective team to meet the department’s needs.
Responsible for defining, scheduling, communicating, and meeting deliverables for critical program checkpoints and milestones for team.
Responsible for overall technical content of team’s components and systems.
Coach employees on technical and interpersonal development.
Participate in product design reviews.
Perform other duties as required.
