Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in C&I Solar PV design and engineering.
  • Two plus years of experience with energy storage.
  • A minimum of two years of experience leading a team.
  • Two years of experience working with utilities in New England and/or NY, NJ.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field like Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy.
  • An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineering license or willingness to obtain preferred.
  • Proficiency in reviewing electrical single-line diagrams, point-to-point diagrams for storage and PV monitoring systems.
  • NABCEP PV Installation Certification required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVSyst, Salesforce, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees basic/complex canopy, ground mount and new rooftop PV designs and construction documents that conform to NEC codes and permitting requirements using design software.
  • Oversees design of energy storage systems into existing and new solar projects.
  • Leads and collaborates in all technical design review meetings between Sales, Development and Construction, and all technical complex project costing calls at different stages of the project.
  • Represents the Company as a technical lead on project coordination calls/meetings with both internal and external project stakeholders during all phases of the project.
  • Works closely with the team to define company processes and metrics, plan and allocate resources across existing programs to ensure strategic alignment and required technical training.
  • Develops and improves the system engineering design standards for safety, new product evaluations and cost effectiveness.
