About The Position

The Sr. Manager - Demand Planning role at L'Oréal involves leading the Demand Planning team to develop accurate demand forecasts while minimizing inventory and forecast variability. This position is crucial for ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and sales estimates, particularly for the Hair Métier of L'Oreal Paris, which includes Hair Care, Styling, and Hair Color. Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant business experience within Manufacturing or Supply Chain.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build strong work relationships.
  • Ability to synthesize information and create clear synopses of key issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and sound decision-making skills.
  • Success in persuasion, influence, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in leading and developing a team of individual contributors and leaders.
  • Ability to manage complex situations and deliver innovative results.
  • Demonstrated success in leading by example and elevating peer performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate and timely demand forecasts while reducing inventory and working capital.
  • Partner with commercial planning teams to gather inputs for the consensus demand plan through the S&OP process.
  • Work closely with the supply planning team to resolve supply constraints and communicate risks to commercial teams.
  • Assist in action plans for excess/obsolete reduction aligned with L'Oréal's sustainability goals.
  • Ensure consistency of forecast assumptions across the business unit.
  • Align Demand Forecast with Sales Estimate and provide variance analysis.
  • Focus on accuracy of demand plans for new product launches based on distribution builds and velocity expectations.
  • Analyze historical sales data and future plans to monitor forecast accuracy.
  • Prepare written analyses, documentation, and reports.
  • Provide business guidance to junior members of the Demand Planning team.
  • Drive enhancements within the CPD Demand Planning process.
