Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in database engineering, with a focus on automation and solution delivery in both private and public cloud environments
  • Strong expertise in leading database technologies such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and/or Oracle
  • Strong expertise in public cloud data/database services such as AWS RDS, Aurora, Snowflake, and/or MongoDB Atlas
  • Strong expertise in database infrastructure stack including compute scalability, storage architecture, and networking performance
  • Extensive experience in database automation and SRE design and implementation
  • Extensive experience with data modeling, database architecture, and ETL
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of scalable, high performance database solutions, set the technology roadmap, and drive innovation through adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and emerging platforms
  • Champion continuous database service availability by proactively managing risks, leading incident resolution, and leveraging monitoring tools to predict and prevent performance issues.
  • Oversee complex migrations, modernization initiatives, and proofs of concept that align with enterprise architecture and deliver measurable business value.
  • Embed security by design, translate regulatory requirements into technical actions, and conduct rigorous risk assessments to maintain compliance and resilience.
  • Act as the primary bridge between global technology governance and local business needs, influencing solution design and representing the region in global forums.
  • Build a high-performance engineering culture by mentoring staff, developing talent pipelines, and fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Lead automation, data driven optimization, and competitive benchmarking to continually enhance service quality and efficiency.
