As a Senior Manager at Starbucks, you will lead your team in building data products, uncovering valuable customer insights, and communicating key discoveries. Your work will drive better decision-making across the Strategic Pricing and Product domains. Additionally, you will develop strong partnerships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and success. As a Senior Manager, data science, you will Translate business questions into data problems and define solutions roadmap; build analytics solutions independently and with cross-functional teams. Develop and promote analytics products and insights; establish KPIs and drive data-driven decision-making across business teams. Collaborate and establish expertise in advanced analytics; drive understanding of strategic pricing initiatives across departments.

Requirements

  • BA/BS w/ concentration in business or quantitative discipline - Stats, Math, Comp Sci, Engineering, Econ, or similar; Masters preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years experience within the field of data science or discipline.
  • Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques including regression, decision trees, classification, causal inference, and clustering algorithms.
  • Exposure to production machine learning systems development, package creation, code repository management, and software development best practices.
  • Experience with cloud tech for data and analytics solutions (Azure, AWS).
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing a team.
