About The Position

In Walmart's Last-Mile Delivery team, we're building intelligent systems that combine real-time data, AI agents, and scalable platforms to power our delivery infrastructure. Spark Driver-our largest last-mile network-now spans all 50 states, reaches over 94% of U.S. households, and plays a pivotal role in Walmart's eCommerce growth by enabling fast, flexible, and cost-effective fulfillment. We are seeking a Sr. Manager of AI Supply Automation to lead the development of intelligent, data-driven systems that balance driver supply with fulfillment demand-at massive scale. You will build and refine AI-led automation that forecasts supply gaps and autonomously triggers interventions to optimize Spark's reliability, cost, and coverage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in supply planning, logistics optimization, product analytics, or applied AI.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into operational impact.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Mode).
• Experience collaborating across product, operations, and technical teams.
• Effective communicator with an ability to explain complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics related field.
• Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
• 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, or behavioral segmentation.
• Background in marketplace logistics, gig economy, or AI-based operational systems.
• Experience designing and measuring the impact of automated interventions at scale.
• Familiarity with agentic system design and real-time system feedback loops.
• Ability to drive iterative thinking in ambiguous, fast-evolving problem spaces.
• Data science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics
• Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R
• Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Develop systems that forecast driver availability and supply gaps at regional and national levels.
• Design and implement automation that activates supply levers (e.g., pings, positioning, incentives, messaging).
• Partner with Operations, Product, Engineering and Data Science to scale intelligent decision-making across markets.
• Collaborate with Field Ops to test supply interventions and evaluate impact.
• Define and own supply-side KPIs (e.g., coverage rate, supply utilization, incentive ROI).
