Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data & analytics, including stakeholder-facing work
  • Expert SQL skills and experience working with large or complex datasets
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
  • Strong skills in data visualization and BI modeling
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, R, or JavaScript)
  • Strong business acumen: able to tie data directly to business problems and product opportunities
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity, balancing short-term asks with long-term strategy
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences
  • Motivated to be an early hire who helps define the future of data at ShopMy

Responsibilities

  • Empower Product, Engineering, and AI with data-driven insights that guide priorities, uncover opportunities, and influence decisions
  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and models in cloud data warehouses to ensure reliable, scalable access to data
  • Develop and maintain BI content — data visualizations, dashboards, and BI modeling — to drive adoption and trust across teams
  • Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure data is complete, consistent, and accurate
  • Automate workflows and processes across the business
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses into product performance and user behavior, surfacing insights that directly impact growth and product development
  • Mentor teammates and share best practices in analytics, BI, and automation
