As a Data Analyst at Capital One you will leverage analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed data solutions and capabilities to tackle business problems. Capital One Software is on an exciting journey! We bring technology products built by Capital One to enterprise-scale business customers. Our first product, Slingshot, has been in general availability since 2022 and has big plans for customer growth this year. We also recently launched our second product, a vaultless data tokenization solution named Databolt! Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading direct or matrixed data teams.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading, architecting and delivering critical data and business intelligence initiatives.
  • At least 5 years of scripting experience in Python, Spark, and SQL.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience managing or developing enterprise data management, data governance or data quality programs.
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional teams of Data Engineers, Scientists, Analysts and other disciplines.
  • 7+ years delivering data management architectures and strategies.
  • 3+ years of experience working with recognized industry data management patterns, methodologies, and techniques (i.e. ISO, PMBOK).
  • Possesses data management or tool certifications (CDMP, IDQ Certified, TD Certification, etc).
  • 2+ years of experience working with internal and external auditors and Federal regulators.
  • 5+ years of experience in process management (Six Sigma, LEAN) and improvement methodologies or 3+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Responsibilities

  • Use Open Source/Digital technologies to mine complex, voluminous, and different varieties of data sources and platforms.
  • Build well-managed data products, data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers.
  • Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives.
  • Partner with the business to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization.
  • Drive analysis that provides meaningful insights on business strategies.
  • Drive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions.
  • Work collaboratively with appropriate Tech teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance.
  • Build and execute tools to monitor and report on data quality.
