About The Position

Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) is a global leader in the automotive manufacturing space, specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of wiring harnesses, high-voltage cabling, and electric vehicle (EV) chargers. We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Senior Manager of Cybersecurity Engineering to support the strategic development and operational execution of cybersecurity initiatives across our enterprise and manufacturing environments. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong technical foundation and leadership capabilities, ready to drive innovation and resilience in a complex, global organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience in deploying enterprise security controls in global, multi-national environments, preferably in automotive, industrial, or critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong technical expertise in security domains including networking, cloud, identity, and data protection.
  • Familiarity with securing both IT and OT environments.
  • Experience managing vendors and service providers.
  • Understanding of industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, TISAX).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Director in defining and executing cybersecurity engineering strategies aligned with enterprise risk and business goals.
  • Promote a defense-in-depth approach across IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of security controls across networks, infrastructure, applications, cloud, endpoints, identity, privileged access, data, and OT systems.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of cybersecurity tools and platforms, ensuring performance, automation, and integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture through continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor service delivery against defined SLAs and KPIs.
  • Ensure engineering practices align with regulatory and internal compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, TISAX, GDPR).
  • Support internal and external audits and assessments.
  • Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers across global locations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for cybersecurity engineering initiatives.
  • Recommend investments in tools, talent, and services to enhance risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
