Role Overview: The Senior Manager, Corporate Development will own the operational execution of CHAOS's corporate development activities by managing deal processes end-to-end from early diligence through close. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Development & Partnerships, this role is the connective tissue between deal strategy and deal execution: running the data room, coordinating diligence workstreams, building and maintaining financial models, and managing external advisors. CHAOS is actively evaluating acquisition and investment opportunities that expand its technology portfolio and mission capabilities, and this hire will be central to executing that agenda.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in investment banking (associate level) or corporate development
  • Strong financial modeling skills; comfortable building models from scratch
  • Experience managing M&A processes, including data room administration and diligence coordination
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail — able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously under time pressure
  • Strong written communication skills; able to synthesize complex information into clear executive-level materials

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with defense technology or government contracting a plus
  • Active security clearance or eligibility preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of deal execution including data room setup and administration, diligence tracking, and workstream coordination across legal, finance, engineering and other stakeholders
  • Build and maintain financial models for acquisition targets including DCF, comparable company analysis, deal structure analysis (synergy models, dilution, earnouts, etc), valuation analysis, returns analysis (IRR sensitivity, etc), and other relevant modeling exercises
  • Prepare investment analyses, executive presentations, and board materials summarizing deal rationale, diligence findings, and risk assessments
  • Coordinate with outside counsel, financial advisors, and target management teams throughout the deal process
  • Support pipeline tracking and target screening by maintaining a live database of acquisition and investment targets with key metrics and status
  • Conduct market and competitive research to support deal sourcing and strategic context
  • Assist in integration planning post-close, working cross-functionally to ensure deal value is realized and key success metrics are tracked post-close
